From LLL Italy’s thirtieth anniversary photographic competition |

Over the last 30 years, the “warm chain” of La Leche League’s breastfeeding support network has helped thousands of mothers. Our energy usually comes from their words, but there are times when pictures express La Leche League’s philosophy much more eloquently. That is why we held the Growth Spurts photography competition and published this book, containing the stories of many mothers, fathers and children, through snapshots of everyday yet special moments. The photographs that make up Focus on tenderness (104 pages, minimum donation 18 euro) tell the story of mothering based on gentleness, helping us to raise our children with love. |
| For the first time, La Leche League Italy is publishing a multi-language book. Over 100 quotations chosen to accompany the photographs have also been translated into English, French and Spanish. Focus on tenderness, like all of La Leche League Italy’s books, is the result of many hours of volunteer work by LLL Leaders and mothers. It helps La Leche League achieve its objective of strengthening parents’ awareness of their abilities, learning to trust their children and their own instincts. Focus | |
